
This course is aimed at those working in an operational, supervisory or management role in marketing who wish to develop their knowledge of digital techniques and their application within the wider marketing plan. Ideal candidates will have 5 or more years’ experience in a marketing role. Successful completion will develop your digital knowledge, applied skills and understanding enabling you to perform at a management level and carry out an essential and successful professional marketing role within the workplace.
The course consists of 4 modules:
Each module can be studied independently and in any order. Students can enrol for the entire course of four modules before September or enrol for each module individually. This provides multiple possible start dates for the course during the academic year. There is no obligation to study all the modules.
Customer behaviour has dramatically changed with the digital revolution. This course provides you with insights into the digital customer experience and highlights ways to adapt to this changing market, allowing you to fulfil customers’ strategic needs. It will provide the knowledge and skills to select appropriate channels to market to meet objectives. It will also help to ensure you provide the desired customer experience, by understanding the customer's journey while complying with relevant legislation and regulation. Each module is taught over 6 to 10 weeks, including workshop sessions.

Our classes are mostly face-to face, however, there may be the occasional need for classes to be taught on-line and to complete remote self- study when necessary. You will, therefore, need technology that can support the use of Microsoft Teams.
In order to successfully complete the course, students must have a minimum of 80% attendance and commit to self-directed study when preparing for assignments. The workshops are optional but provide an opportunity to progress the assignment in a supportive environment. This part-time course is taught across 33 weeks and is not consecutive, as university holidays are taken as indicated on the university website.

Utilise strategic frameworks to analyse the stages in the customer journey and identify a data-led approach to achieve seamless, personalised journeys cultivating customer satisfaction, loyalty, and advocacy.
Content Strategy
Content marketing is fundamental to building trust, developing relationships and improving customer conversions. Develop an approach to content marketing that aligns to wider organisational and marketing goals enable the creation of effective content strategy and manage its implementation, including the provision of appropriate copy for a variety of audiences.
To complete the qualification, you will have to pass the assessments within each module. Each module is assessed separately via online and written assignments. There is a well-stocked library within the University and individual lecturers will advise on recommended texts.
Successful achievement of the CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing will allow progression onto the CIM Level 7 qualifications.
Alternatively, you can utilise your skills to elevate your current job role. This qualification bolsters your credibility and expertise within the field and is certain to complement a career trajectory in marketing.
An interview with a member of the Professional Studies teaching team is required, prior to, or at enrolment and this will be completed online or at one of the open evening events run by the college.
This course requires a minimum of 6 students to be viable and will be restricted to a maximum of 12 students to provide quality support and interaction.
Students are expected to have suitable qualifications at Level 4 (degree or equivalent), CIM level 4 qualifications or relevant work experience. All assessments are focused on creating an applied marketing plan and so students need to be in a suitable role to be able to access necessary data and information.
