The BA (Hons) Education (Learning Support) is rated in the Credit Accumulation and Transfer system. Candidate's knowledge from their Foundation Degree in Learning Support contributes 120 credit points at Level 5 and 120 credit points at Level 4.

Successful completion of the BA (Hons) Education (Learning Support) for those coming from the Foundation Degree in Learning Support comes from achieving 120 Level 6 credit points, providing the total of 360 credits required for the award in the degree.

Careers progression includes:

Graduates achieving a 2:2 can apply for Initial Teacher Training (Schools Direct, SCITT or PGCE) for Primary, Secondary, Special and Independent schools. What previous qualifications and experience will I need?

The BA programme assumes that candidates will already have completed work equivalent to the first two years of a full-time honours degree. The primary qualifications for entry to the degree will be in possession of a Foundation Degree in Learning Support or the Foundation Degree in Early Years Education.

All candidates will be required to attend for interview before joining the programme. Interviewers will be seeking evidence of:

Ability to write and discuss assignments at undergraduate level
Recent reading of education literature
Reflection on learning experiences from recent and relevant courses
