University Centre Farnborough Launches Historical and Literary Society, Bringing Together Past and Present Scholars
University Centre Farnborough is pleased to announce the formation of its Historical and Literary Society. The society’s inaugural meeting, held on 23 November, saw a diverse group of participants, including former and current students from its Accelerated Degree programmes, expressing their shared passion for history and literature.
At the meeting, members introduced themselves and discussed the society’s core objectives. These include connecting with the local community and establishing ties with historical and literary institutions, making academic pursuits relevant to the broader public, and being a collaborative space for research projects, allowing members to explore their historical and literary interests.
Looking ahead, the society plans to engage with the public through events and lectures, with frequent meetings due to take place from early 2024.
University Centre Farnborough offers a wide range of degree programmes, including Modern History, English Literature, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Engineering, Creative Arts, and much more.
