This week, we hosted our degree student awards evening, which celebrated the work and dedication our students invested in obtaining their qualifications.
The awards were determined by the lecturers of each course, with winners selected from each year of the degree programme. Additionally, students had the opportunity to vote for their lecturers in categories such as ‘Most likely to brighten your day’ or ‘Most likely to have a reality show about them.’ These awards were followed by the presentation of the prestigious Lecturer of the Year and Course of the Year awards.
The event featured live music performed by Piper Hazelwood, a music student at Farnborough College of Technology, creating a delightful atmosphere before the award ceremony commenced.
The catering staff prepared a BBQ accompanied by both red and white wine, providing a fitting celebration for the student’s hard work.
Larry Magee, Vice principal, announced the awards, which were then presented by Ian Graham, Vice Principal of Higher Education.
We would like to extend our congratulations to the over 40 winners for their outstanding commitment and dedication to their studies. We hope you have a fantastic summer, and for those returning next September, we look forward to welcoming you back with joy and enthusiasm. To those graduating this year, we wish you the very best in your future careers and hope to see you in October for the graduation ceremony.
