As part of the course you will earn vendor qualifications including CISCO CCNA Introduction to Networks and Introduction to Cyber Security, which are recognised by employers.

An HNC in Computing will allow you to study key areas of computing before moving onto a Higher National Diploma in your second year, where specialist pathways are available.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

To demonstrate your management and research skills you will implement your own project.

How will I be assessed?

A wide range of assessment methods are used in this programme, which have been chosen to suit the subject material being taught. The range of assessment methods used in this programme includes in-class tests, assessed practical work, assessed coursework/assignments, and formative assessment through assignment work feedback, practical demonstrations, project report, project presentation and examination.

What is the entry process?

What previous qualifications and experience will I need?

You will need GCSE Maths or Computing at Grade C/4 or above and a suitable Level 3 Qualification in Computing / IT such as a BTEC Extended Diploma, or 3 A Levels including IT or Maths or equivalent for 48 UCAS points from relevant subject(s).

If you do not have any formal qualifications but can demonstrate relevant computer programming skills and relevant maths knowledge and skills, you can also apply for a place on the course.

If English is not your first language, evidence of your ability will need to be supplied with your applications. IELTS 6.5 is required.
