COMMITMENT TO THE MATRIX STANDARD

Farnborough College of Technology and University Centre Farnborough have once again had their information, advice and guidance (IAG) services revalidated by the government’s benchmark: the Matrix Standard.

This prestigious accreditation recognises the College and University’s commitment to providing exceptional support to its students, helping them make informed choices about their education, training, and career paths.

The College and University, with three campuses in Hampshire, boasts a ‘learner-centric’ approach, offering a wide range of resources and guidance through its dedicated Learner Services department. This includes careers advice, health and wellbeing support, a learning resource centre, and a welcoming reception team.

The bi-annual assessment revealed some insightful statistics, especially around student satisfaction. For example, an overwhelming 94% of students are satisfied with the Learning Resource Centre (LRC).

One contribution to the College’s success is the fact that the College nurtures strong partnerships with local schools, employers, and a range of external organisations. This collaborative approach ensures students have access to a comprehensive network of support, opportunities and impartial guidance.
